Nestled in the middle of the Colombian Andes, Boyacá is known as one of the regions where important battles of independence took place. Being home to some of the most beautiful high peak mountains, it symbolizes the beauty of colder Andean Colombian landscapes and town life and the resilient culture that emerged from the independence battles. Guacamayas, Boyacá is also home of the traditional craft of coil basket weaving, where our baskets are made. Our first line of round baskets is the perfect storage solution for fruit, creating a unique tabletop display. Designed with an organic line design of fique fiber, each basket is made with a traditional coil technique found in the region of Boyacá. Coming in two colorways--burgundy & salmon pink or sage & forest green--this fruit basket will nicely compliment any tabletop.
